World Peace “Lennon Ivan Style” – Part 235

World Peace “Lennon Ivan Style” – Part 235

As a continuation from my last blog whereby I believe the root of “World Peace” is centered on peace in the Middle East with the first step being negotiated peace between Israel and the Palestinians, I would like to remain objective and independent in my views such that I would like to today bring Iraq into my views as they seem to be the closest at this time to a full fledge civil war of rage like wild animals stuck together in a cage. However, it is important to note that Israel and Palestine seem to be awakening from their hatred induced coma state with the potential for peace negotiations to be resumed in the near future in the United States, while Egypt continues to operate in supremacy domination mode whereby the minority Christian military continues to hold on to power while the Muslim majority is fuming at the seams hoping to awaken from this horrible dream. As for the Syrians, both sides are still in anger induced coma state for the mentally insane such that millions of Syrians continue to suffer each and every day. In terms of the Russians and Ukrainians, they seem to have entered into a political war game whereby neither party wishes to concede but rather seems to prefer to enter into a civil war and commit dirty deeds. While Israelis, Palestinians, Egyptians, Syrians, Russians and Ukrainians continue along their respective paths toward enlightenment, it is now time for the Iraqis to be enlightened as to the path of quelling their current tensions before any more civil war breaks out which bears the risk of leading to a third and final world war on this earth, after which, there will be no place for anyone left to run. In summary, Observers around the world are stunned by the speed and scope of assaults on every major city in the upper Tigris River Valley, including Mosul, Iraq’s second-largest city, by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS. However, as the ISIS rebels extend their reach across Iraq, the U.S. Air Force was forced to intervene in order to prevent Genocide while Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki relinquished power opening a new political chapter that U.S. officials hope will move Iraq toward a more unified front against Islamic jihadists currently running wild and literally beheading “Infidels” like pigs without shedding a tear as blood spills out of their victims giving everybody creepy chills.

During the week ending on Sunday, February 26, 2017, TURKEY retreated from their aggressive siege of CIZRE, SILOPI, DIYARBAKIR and NUSAYBIN, predominantly KURDISH, which TURKEY had converted into a suburban war zone area as TURKEY was on the defense as they were subject to an internal military “Coup D’État” that failed as gunfire and explosions erupted in which 265 people died, 161 of them civilians, over one month ago. As a result of the failed “Coup D’État”, Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared a state of emergency, extended the period during which suspects can be detained without charge to 30 days, closed more than 1,000 private schools and closed more than 1,200 associations. A wide scale purge led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his governing AKP finally continued to de-escalate slightly more this week as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan focused his attention on lifting a ban on female officers wearing the ISLAMIC headscarf in the official TURKISH armed forces. The military was the final TURKISH institution where women were prohibited from wearing the headscarf after reforms by the AKP under Recep Tayyip Erdogan that allowed the headscarf to be worn in education, politics and the police. The move ordered by the TURKISH defence ministry applies to female officers working in the general staff, command headquarters and branches. However, women may wear the headscarf underneath their cap or beret as long as it is of the same colour as their uniform and does not cover their faces. Unfortunately, TURKEY continued to choose the path of war with the KURDISH PKK that TURKEY, the EU and the USA consider a terrorist organization as two TURKISH jets launched a string of airstrikes against PKK positions in northern ERBIL, IRAQ. It seems that fighter jets were heavily bombing areas under PKK control as a result of intense shelling from TURKISH warplanes such that at least 20 PKK militia members were martyred. As a friendly reminder, TURKEY has been sporadically bombing PKK bases inside the KURDISTAN region of IRAQ in the wake of the resumption of clashes between TURKEY and KURDISH PKK militias in July 2015 with some 5,000 PKK militia soldiers stationed mostly in the remote, mountainous areas of the KURDISTAN region bordering Turkey.

Moving on to IRAQ, IRAQI and US-led ALLIANCE forces continued with their offensive against ISIS on MOSUL. However, ISIS has sent the message to the world that it will do whatever it takes to defend MOSUL as ISIS has chosen the usage of its own people as human shields. Nonetheless, IRAQI and ALLIED forces managed to push ISIS militants back from MOSUL, their last major stronghold in IRAQ, whereby IRAQI special forces appear to have liberated the eastern half of MOSUL from ISIS. As a friendly reminder, MOSUL that is divided by the Tigris River with both east and west sides respectively making up about half of the population of MOSUL was impressively liberated by the IRAQI and KURDISH Peshmerga forces. These elite ALLIANCE forces managed to fight through an elaborate defense system formed by ISIS over the past two years that managed to keep the ALLIANCE forces out while contemporaneously keeping the residents of MOSUL trapped in as captives. However, ISIS forces now appear to be regrouping in Western MOSUL as they launched attacks on US troops operating around MOSUL who came under fire from ISIS militia such that some US troops were wounded in the confrontation. The US forces in the area are providing advice and assistance to IRAQI units battling to retake MOSUL with one of their key tasks being to help IRAQI units targeting ISIS strongholds. Although the US declined to offer specifics on the firefights that have taken place with ISIS, the US did confirm that US troops did come under fire at different times such that they were forced to return fire accordingly in and around MOSUL. However, IRAQI military personnel fired back at ISIS by launching attacks on parts of southern and western MOSUL as airstrikes killed over 35 ISIS fighters including a regional mayor. The Iraqi government declared that it had launched a new, decisive stage of operations against ISIS in western MOSUL with intense bombardments on the airport that killed dozens of ISIS fighters and forced the ISIS group to withdraw from the airport. In addition, IRAQI forces captured the AL-BOUSEIF hills overlooking the airport and invaded the GHIZLANI military camp that stretches nearby.

Moving on to SYRIA, SYRIAN government forces have retaken full control of ALEPPO, since the uprising began, after nearly six years of bloody fighting for Syria’s most populous city and SYRIA’s economic hub that has been the most prized and fiercely contested city throughout the Syrian conflict. As a friendly reminder, since the Syrian army’s assault against rebel held ALEPPO began in late September, RUSSIAN and SYRIAN government bombardments have killed more than 1,000 people, including over 250 children while injuring over 5,000. Now, a ceasefire across SYRIA appears to be holding as its brokers, RUSSIA, TURKEY and IRAN obtained approval of the plan from the UN Security Council overriding all previous failed peace proposals and finally ending the six-year conflict. Against all odds, the ceasefire largely continues to hold as peace negotiations have commenced in ASTANA, KAZAKHSTAN with TURKEY and ASSAD’s two main allies, RUSSIA and IRAN, backing these peace talks as guarantors of a fragile ceasefire. However, the process continues to be advancing at a snails pace after a two-day meeting on January 23 and 24 whereby Russia, Turkey and Iran agreed on establishing a trilateral mechanism to observe and ensure full compliance with a cease-fire in SYRIA with the next round of negotiations held between the government and opposition forces in Geneva on during the week of February 20. Although these talks do represent the most serious diplomatic efforts in months, the UN mediator for the talks on the war in SYRIA, Staffan de Mistura, played down expectations for major progress as disputes over the agenda and longstanding disagreements between the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and the government under President Bashar al-Assad on the future of SYRIA have cast doubts on whether any progress will be achieved. UN mediator, Staffan de Mistura, said he was determined to maintain a very pro-active momentum to allow for political discussions on governance, a new constitution and elections under UN supervision.

In my opinion, Turkey’s participation in the military battle against ISIS is a positive addition to the ALLIANCE albeit Turkey’s negative stance against the PKK that in my opinion is currently unwarranted and deteriorating. However, with the recent majority victory by the governing AKP and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, it appears that Turkey’s future is heading for more war and bloodshed. Unfortunately, the governing AKP and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan have chosen the path of war with the PKK as opposed to diplomacy via the KURDISH HDP political party which secured close to 11% during recent Turkish elections. Therefore, in my opinion, the governing AKP and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will learn the hard way that nobody on the outside world looking in is stupid but rather everyone chooses to close their eyes and allow Turkey to continue with its ethnic cleansing campaign of the KURDS in exchange for Turkey signing a deal with the European Union (EU) to stem the flow of refugees arriving in Greece. In exchange for reducing human trafficking and improving living conditions for 2.5 million refugees within its borders, Turkey will receive Euro 3 billion in financial aid in return, the possibility of visa-free travel for its citizens, and a reopening of EU membership talks. In my opinion, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the governing AKP will learn the hard way that the current failed “Coup D’État” exposes the deep discontent within the TURKISH military ranks as the governing AKP and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan persist with their quest to annihilate the HDP and the KURDS as the AKP is converting itself into a majority fascist regime with its house cleaning exercises whereby virtually all dissidents have been fired. In my opinion, the recent European parliament vote to halt TURKEY’s EU accession backed by a resolution condemning the TURKISH government’s disproportionate repressive measures after the failed “Coup D’État” in July was long overdue as TURKEY has demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt, with its repressive measures over all opposition, that TURKEY does not share common values, morals, principals, ethics and views as the EU such that TURKEY does not fit into the EU mould. However, in my opinion, TURKEY still represents a major player on the European economic stage such that the EU will nonetheless have to negotiate deals with TURKEY as an independent NON-EU member country regarding the huge refugee crisis. In my opinion, in exchange for reducing human trafficking and improving living conditions for 2.5 million refugees within its borders, TURKEY should only receive Euro 1.5 billion, half of the initial proposed 3 billion, in financial aid along with visa-free travel for its citizens who do not pose any significant risks outside of TURKISH borders. Finally, the wide scale purge led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his governing AKP continued to de-escalate further this week as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan focused his attention on lifting the ban on female officers wearing the ISLAMIC headscarf in the official TURKISH armed forces as long as it is of the same colour as their uniform and does not cover their faces. In my opinion, I agree with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s decision to allow the headscarf in the military to the extent it does not cover faces that could pose a security risk, as everyone should be given the right to carry their respective religious symbols to work to the extent it does not interfere with the performance of their duties. Furthermore, I would recommend that all countries follow President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s lead as all personal religious symbols create positive energy to the extent those wearing them do not in any way force others to follow suit. If the modern world has accepted tattoos as permissible in the workplace on the basis of freedom of expression, then religious symbols should be allowed under the same pretext to the extent those wearing them do not force them down the throats of others. In regards to TURKEY continuing to choose the path of war with the KURDISH PKK as TURKISH jets launched a string of airstrikes against PKK positions in northern ERBIL, IRAQ, I have not changed my position as concerns TURKEY’s approach with the KURDISH PKK. That is, TURKISH warplane airstrikes against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) targets will only further fuel the flames of extremism as history has clearly shown that the greater the strike by the TURKISH government, the greater the response. Therefore, this PKK-TURKEY conflict is a never ending saga that cannot be resolved with sheer military force such that until President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the governing AKP acknowledge the root of the underlying problem, which is TURKISH repression of the minority ethnic KURDS, Turkey will never again see peace as their current extermination of the resistance tends to breed a new legion of extremist factions. Therefore, in my opinion, the pre-condition for peace within the borders of TURKEY is a negotiated ceasefire deal between TURKEY and ALL KURDISH factions which can only be attained by TURKEY recognizing the KURDISH HDP political party as the legitimate democratic voice of the KURDISH people. In my opinion, the KURDISH HDP political party seems to be respected by the extremist factions of the KURDISH resistance such that the KURDISH HDP is the only current viable median to broker a sustainable ceasefire and peace deal with TURKEY. In my opinion, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s belief that the TURKSIH government can finish off the KURDISK PKK once and for all is a superficial illusion of the delusional as this TURKISH/ KURDISH conflict has been raging for over 30 years now with over 50,000 lives sacrificed such that unless TURKEY is able to exterminate the entire PKK KURDISH race, the KURDISH PKK will continue to reciprocate with strikes straight to Turkey’s face.

Moving on to IRAQ, the recent successful attacks on ISIS by IRAQI security forces in MOSUL, has clearly sent the message to ISIS that it is just a matter of time until the ISIS Empire in MOSUL dies. However, the IRAQI led troops on the ground are essentially forced to fight ISIS style, which is slow and brutal for any other type of heavy artillery attack on ISIS, will result in significant collateral damage in terms of human casualties. Unfortunately ISIS has managed to set new rules of war, with complete and utter disregard for the laws of war as promulgated by the GENEVA convention, which is essentially that there are no rules other than the dirtiest player in the game wins. Thus, the world finds itself going backwards to the days of Barbarian, Neanderthal, Self-Centered, Egotistical, Narcissistic, Masochistic, Sadistic, Idiosyncratic, Sociopathic and Psychopathic maniacs. Therefore, the ALLIANCE forces recapture of eastern MOSUL in its entirety has not surprisingly triggered further ISIS psychopathic behaviours with ISIS now threatening its residents in Western MOSUL if they refuse to feed the ISIS fighters. In my opinion, ISIS will put up a tough fight in Western MOSUL that still remains under ISIS control despite the heavy losses ISIS suffered so far in the battle for eastern MOSUL. Unfortunately, ISIS continues to be a determined organization ready, willing and able to fight until death as ISIS launched attacks on US troops operating around MOSUL who came under fire from ISIS militia such that some US troops were wounded in the confrontation. In my opinion, the US troops did the right thing in mounting a solid defense regardless of the fact that the US Congress has not approved direct US troop combat missions on the ground in IRAQ. In my opinion, although US troops try to avoid being involved in firefights with ISIS, when ISIS militia confront US troops, they have no choice but to defend themselves in full combat mode. In my opinion, when ISIS is shooting at you, there is no other alternative than to fire back twice as hard to send ISIS a clear message that ISIS is not invincible such that the US troops will not wait for formal approval to fireback with a boomerang attack. In regards to IRAQI military personnel firing back at ISIS by launching attacks on parts of southern and western MOSUL killing over 35 ISIS fighters including a regional mayor while taking back the airport, the IRAQI military was forced to step up its efforts to retake Western MOSUL as fighters demonstrated with their attacks on US troops that they were regrouping and coming out to fight. Therefore, in my opinion, assuming that the KURDISH peshmerga, IRAQI army, SHIITE militia and some SUNNI militia forces continue to overlook their differences and stick together, ISIS will inevitably be decimated in IRAQ, although ISIS will likely survive as an incognito terrorist organization throughout the world. In my opinion, with ISIS inevitably nearing its downfall in IRAQ, IRAQI security forces need to be prepared for a different kind of war against ISIS, shifting away from ground offensives to intelligence work and surgical airstrikes to counter an expected move by ISIS away from holding territory and back to a more terrorist role of a dispersed underground terror organization. In my opinion, ISIS is already laying the groundwork for a new terrorist strategy of hiding in remote areas, carrying out attacks in IRAQ and abroad and resorting to organized crime to bankroll future operations.

Moving on to SYRIA, the latest news that the SYRIAN government forces have recaptured the entire former rebel stronghold of east ALEPPO in an offensive that left bodies in the streets and sparked global outrage managed to lead to a ceasefire across SYRIA that appears to still be holding after its brokers, RUSSIA, TURKEY and IRAN obtained approval from the UN Security Council. In my opinion, RUSSIA that invested much political time and energy in ending the fighting after bombing the opposition relentlessly for the past 15 months was the critical player in this ceasefire as RUSSIA managed to control the uncontrollable consisting of President Bashar al-Assad’s forces, Iran and Shiite militias like Lebanon’s Hezbollah whereas TURKEY managed to control the Free Syrian Army (FSA) along with their affiliated rebel factions. Meanwhile, peace negotiations have commenced in ASTANA, KAZAKHSTAN with TURKEY and ASSAD’s two main allies, RUSSIA and IRAN, backing these peace talks as guarantors of a fragile ceasefire. However, the allegations by Amnesty International that over thirteen thousand people were hanged at a SYRIAN prison in a secret crackdown on dissent by the current regime under the authority of President, Bashar al-Assad have been excluded from the agenda. In my opinion, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's future should be off the agenda for now and the main focus of the talks should be governance, a new constitution and elections as the primary goal of these meetings should be to end the war in SYRIA and implement a long-term sustainable solution for peace. In regards to the UN mediator for the talks, Staffan de Mistura, playing down expectations for major progress as disputes over the agenda and longstanding disagreements between the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and the government under President Bashar al-Assad on the future of SYRIA cast doubts on whether any progress will be achieved, I believe that both sides realize that there has been more than enough slaughter and bloodshed over the last five plus years such that both parties have a vested interest to end the most bloodiest civil war in history once and for all. Therefore, Staffan de Mistura needs to be tough with both sides and never take no for an answer but rather keep hammering away until a reasonable accommodation can be negotiated that both sides can live with as it is obvious to me that this conflict cannot be resolved with more war as nothing will be left of Syria other than dead bodies evening the score.

In summary, I refer to “World Peace Lennon Ivan Style – Part 235” as the belief that MOSUL victory is critical to ISIS decimation but SYRIAN ceasefire between ASSAD and FSA also key while SYRIAN negotiations must result in peace as this conflict cannot be resolved with more war as nothing will be left of SYRIA other than dead bodies equalizing the score.

World Peace “Lennon Ivan Style” – Part 234

World Peace “Lennon Ivan Style” – Part 234

During the week ending on Sunday, February 19, 2017, TURKEY retreated from their aggressive siege of CIZRE, SILOPI, DIYARBAKIR and NUSAYBIN, predominantly KURDISH, which TURKEY had converted into a suburban war zone area as TURKEY was on the defense as they were subject to an internal military “Coup D’État” that failed as gunfire and explosions erupted in which 265 people died, 161 of them civilians, over one month ago. As a result of the failed “Coup D’État”, Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared a state of emergency, extended the period during which suspects can be detained without charge to 30 days, closed more than 1,000 private schools and closed more than 1,200 associations. A wide scale purge led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his governing AKP finally continued to de-escalate slightly more this week as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan focused his attention on ISIS once again as TURKISH troops and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) entered ISIS held AL BAB, ISIS’s last stronghold in northern SYRIA, at the same time as SYRIAN government forces were approaching. Heavy clashes were reported with ISIS in AL BAB, 40 km south of the TURKISH border resulting in severe damage to ISIS with over 45 ISIS fighters killed, at least 245 ISIS targets, including ISIS shelters, headquarters, defence positions and vehicles hit and 55 buildings used by ISIS as hideouts, two headquarters, two meeting points, a guard station, an arms depot, and a wireless station also destroyed. Ironically, U.S. President Donald Trump who has made destruction of the ISIS terror group his top national security goal has not yet contacted President Recep Tayyip Erdogan given Turkey’s heavy ground troops in Syria now fighting ISIS. However, given that the areas of disagreement keep growing between TURKEY and the USA with President Donald Trump’s visa suspension for seven Muslim majority countries and the indefinite ban on SYRIAN refugees whereas TURKEY hosts over three million SYRIANS, this discussion will likely not mend the differences in opinions between the two countries. Ironically, during Canadian Prime Minster Justin Trudeau’s recent White House visit with U.S. President Donald Trump, he chose to make a politically correct statement to the effect that Canadians were not interested in Canada telling the U.S. how to run their country and thus avoided discussions regarding these sensitive subjects.

However, ISIS forces now appear to be regrouping in Western MOSUL albeit showing signs of desperation as ISIS forced residents to provide food to its combat detachments as a sign of support for ISIS while threatening to punish anyone who violated these instructions. In addition, ISIS closed all remaining SHARIA COURTS in western MOSUL and started to evacuate ISIS headquarters immediately which is another sign of desperation as SHARIA COURT is a very important body in the ISIS organization as it has a lot of authority including arrest warrants. Thus far, since the battle first commenced on October 17, IRAQI, KURDISH and ALLIED forces advances have been impressive on their push to retake MOSUL, ISIS's de facto capital in IRAQ where as many as 1.5 million people are believed to still remain. However, progress has been slow as the ALLIANCE forces have faced counterattacks from the ISIS fighters who deployed hundreds of suicide car bombs, as well as mortars and snipers and used MOSUL’s million plus residents as human shields. Unfortunately, ISIS is still a force to be reckoned with, due to its significant wealth amassed in safe havens abroad, such that although the battle for MOSUL will likely lead to the end of the ISIS era in IRAQ, the ISIS wealth abroad will likely lead to ISIS taking the fight to the streets on foreign soil which will necessitate heightened security measures until kingdom come. Therefore, the US-led ALLIANCE needs to be on heightened security alerts world wide as ISIS will look to find any and all possible retributory strikes, the most savage and barbarian possible, in an attempt to save face from a humiliating defeat of its MOSUL base.

However, the process continues to be advancing at a snails pace after a two-day meeting on January 23 and 24 whereby Russia, Turkey and Iran agreed on establishing a trilateral mechanism to observe and ensure full compliance with a cease-fire in SYRIA with the next round of negotiations to be held between the government and opposition forces in Geneva on February 20. However, Amnesty International allegations of war crimes whereby over thirteen thousand people were hanged at a SYRIAN prison in a secret crackdown on dissent by the current regime under the authority of President, Bashar al-Assad seems to be off the agenda. This development means that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's future will be off the agenda and the main focus of the talks among various Syrian factions will be governance, a new constitution and elections. However, it seems to be clear that everybody wants a political solution to end the SYRIAN military conflict and that this political solution must be achieved in GENEVA under the control of the UNITED NATIONS and that there cannot be any other parallel negotiations. Meanwhile, ISIS militants slaughtered hundreds of rival militants in a desperate bid to re-establish their authority in Syria. It appears that ISIS terrorists captured at least 200 fighters from AL QAEDA and a group aligned with the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in IDLIB and HAMA provinces whereby 160 of the opposition fighters killed were affiliated with the FSA and 40 were from AL QAEDA.

Finally, the wide scale purge led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his governing AKP continued to de-escalate further this week as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan focused his attention on ISIS as TURKISH troops and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) recaptured most of ISIS held AL BAB, ISIS’s last stronghold in northern SYRIA. In my opinion, this was a strategic move long overdue by TURKEY as AL BAB that is 40 km south of the TURKISH border represented an ISIS safe haven for smuggling arms into and out of TURKEY such that it needed to be shut down. In terms of the massive destruction inflicted by the TURKISH troops on AL BAB both in terms of ISIS casualties and ISIS shelters, buildings, headquarters, defence positions and vehicles, this is the only effective approach to decimate ISIS. In my opinion, TURKEY needs to continue with this approach on ISIS of strike hard, strike fast and strike all to make it count so that ISIS cannot regroup and mount any sort of comeback. In regards to the areas of disagreement that keep growing between TURKEY and the USA with President Donald Trump’s visa suspension for seven Muslim majority countries and the indefinite ban on SYRIAN refugees while TURKEY hosts over three million SYRIANS, I was not surprised to see Canadian Prime Minster Justin Trudeau make a politically correct statement to the effect that Canadians were not interested in Canada telling the U.S. how to run their country and thus avoiding discussions regarding these sensitive subjects. In my opinion, President Donald Trump has gone way too far with his visa suspension for seven Muslim majority countries and indefinite ban on SYRIAN refugees as these policies effectively apply collective punishment on the entirety of these seven Muslim majority nations for the minority of terrorists living in these nations. In my opinion, there is no doubt that these seven Muslim majority nations do represent the highest risk to the U.S. in terms of the possibility of a terrorist entering U.S. soil but I believe that a more constructive solution would have been a more stringent visa program. That is, I believe the U.S. could have offered these seven Muslim majority nations the possibility of implementing a more stringent U.S. screening process with U.S. customs and border patrol officers on site in these seven Muslim majority nations to insure that more stringent U.S. screening processes are thoroughly applied with the incremental expense born by these seven Muslim majority nations whose citizens still desire to enter the U.S.

Unfortunately, ISIS continues to be a determined organization ready, willing and able to fight until death such that there are no guarantees of a timely victory when fighting such a relentless paramilitary terrorist force. In my opinion, the offensive on Western MOSUL will be more difficult because of the density of the population and the narrow streets and alleyways through which armoured vehicles cannot pass. However, the strategy so far on Western MOSUL of putting pressure on ISIS daily by cutting off their logistics and hammering their command and control with coordinated attacks on their weapons depots is fundamental to significantly weakening the ISIS organization before the imminent attack on Western MOSUL.

In regards to the alleged war crimes by Amnesty International, there is plenty of time to prosecute those responsible in the future after SYRIA is stabilized since the damage has already been done and nothing anyone says or does at this stage can ever bring back the victims slaughtered during one of the most brutal and savage wars of human history. In regards to ISIS killing at least 200 fighters from AL QAEDA and a group aligned with the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in IDLIB and HAMA provinces, this for me is equivalent to a GANGSTER street war such that it should not derail the current SYRIAN ceasefire in place along with future negotiations. In my opinion, ISIS along with all other extremist factions still operating in SYRIA such as the AL QAEDA, JABHAT FATEH AL-SHAM jihadist group, formerly known as NUSRA FRONT, and AHRAR AL-SHAM will continue to wage war regardless of the ceasefire deal brokered by TURKEY, RUSSIA and IRAN but to the extent they continue to battle for territory amongst themselves, they should be let to go as the more they kill amongst their own, the less effort will be required by the SYRIAN security force.

In summary, I refer to “World Peace Lennon Ivan Style – Part 234” as the belief that MOSUL victory is critical to ISIS decimation but SYRIAN ceasefire between ASSAD and FSA also key while SYRIAN turf wars amongst rival terrorist gangster factions should be let to go as they cannot be controlled so better for them to kill amongst their own.

World Peace “Lennon Ivan Style” – Part 233

World Peace “Lennon Ivan Style” – Part 233

During the week ending on Sunday, February 12, 2017, TURKEY retreated from their aggressive siege of CIZRE, SILOPI, DIYARBAKIR and NUSAYBIN, predominantly KURDISH, which TURKEY had converted into a suburban war zone area as TURKEY was on the defense as they were subject to an internal military “Coup D’État” that failed as gunfire and explosions erupted in which 265 people died, 161 of them civilians, over one month ago. As a result of the failed “Coup D’État”, Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared a state of emergency, extended the period during which suspects can be detained without charge to 30 days, closed more than 1,000 private schools and closed more than 1,200 associations. A wide scale purge led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his governing AKP finally continued to de-escalate slightly more this week as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan focused his attention on ISIS with over 800 ISIS fighters detained in nationwide operations representing TURKEY’s biggest round-up targeting the ISIS group since their inception. Over 800 suspects, most of them foreign nationals, were arrested in at least 29 provinces, including the capital of TURKEY, ANKARA and southeastern provinces. The operations signalled TURKEY's clear intentions to send a message to the world that TURKEY is clamping down on the armed ISIS group. As a friendly reminder, the TURKISH government holds ISIS responsible for several attacks in TURKEY including the most recent New Year’s Eve attack on the REINA nightclub in ISTANBUL in which 39 people were killed whereby ISIS claimed direct responsibility. TURKISH troops also engaged in battles against ISIS fighters in the SYRIAN town of AL-BAB, in the fiercest fighting yet of TURKEY's military campaign inside SYRIA that started in August with at least 48 TURKISH soldiers killed in the SYRIAN incursion so far. Ironically, given that U.S. President Donald Trump has made destruction of the ISIS terror group his top national security goal and Turkey’s heavy ground troops in Syria now fighting ISIS, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan should receive a call soon to coordinate efforts. However, the areas of disagreement are growing between TURKEY and the USA with President Donald Trump’s visa suspension for seven Muslim majority countries, the indefinite ban on SYRIAN refugees whereas TURKEY hosts over three million SYRIANS, recent deliveries of armoured personnel carriers to northern SYRIA to benefit KURDISH forces fighting ISIS which is viewed as a threat to TURKEY’s security and President Donald Trump’s persistent use of the term radical Islamic terrorism which President Recep Tayyip Erdogan vehemently opposes as ISIS is not considered by TURKEY to be Islamic.

However, ISIS continues to be on the prowl looking for any and all opportunities for vengeance while suffering heavy casualties with 26 ISIS militants killed in separate locations in MOSUL and loosing drones guided by ISIS at the hands of IRAQI’s military who have become successful in shooting ISIS drones down. Meanwhile, Iraqi forces are awaiting top commanders orders to invade ISIS strongholds in western MOSUL. However, on a positive note, ISIS files seized by the IRAQI military reveal problems with ISIS foreign fighters who are refusing to fight in IRAQ on the basis of claims of sickness to claims of desires for martyr missions in Europe which show ISIS militants quickly losing faith on the front lines.

However, disturbing news surfaced this week when a report by Amnesty International alleges that over thirteen thousand people were hanged at a SYRIAN prison in a secret crackdown on dissent by the current regime under the authority of President, Bashar al-Assad. Apparently, SAYDNAYA prison, north of the capital DAMASCUS was used for purposes of carrying out a hidden slaughtering campaign authorized by senior SYRIAN regime figures. Amnesty International alleges that prisoners were moved in the middle of the night from their prison cells, under the pretext of being transferred, when they were actually taken to the grounds of the prison where they were hanged, likely unaware of their fate until they felt the noose around their neck. The Syrian Ministry of Justice disclaimed the accusations, calling them part of an effort to harm the government’s international reputation after recent victories over rebels.

Finally, the wide scale purge led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his governing AKP continued to de-escalate further this week as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan focused his attention on ISIS which should trigger an interesting telephone call with U.S. President Donald Trump shortly since TURKEY has heavy ground troops in SYRIA now fighting ISIS while President Donald Trump has made destruction of the ISIS terror group his top national security goal. In my opinion, the differences of opinion between TURKEY and the U.S. continue to widen on a variety of issues but the most sensitive issue being President Donald Trump’s persistent usage of the term ISLAMIC terror that TURKEY vehemently opposes on the basis that ISLAM and terror do not go side by side since ISLAM literally means peace. In my opinion, TURKEY is justified in its opposition of the usage of the term RADICAL ISLAMIC TERROR as ISIS would be better characterized as RADICAL GANGSTER TERROR as from my point-of-view ISIS operates under gangster principals to the extreme whereby they have taken ISLAM hostage. That is, ISIS has hijacked the ISLAM religion as a smoke screen behind which to brainwash its fighters with a demented, distorted and psychologically disturbing version of ISLAM that suits ISIS’s goal to obtain power and control. However, President Donald Trump’s persistent usage of the term ISLAMIC terror turns on the Americans because they feel more comfortable blaming an entire religion than blaming specific individuals behind the ISIS organization because aside from the Godfather of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, little is known about the chief financiers and brains behind the ISIS organization. Nonetheless, in my opinion TURKEY’s recent focus on ISIS with the clear message sent to the world that TURKEY is clamping down on the armed ISIS group should be welcomed as the right strategic shift in direction by TURKEY. Furthermore, in my opinion, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also seems to be awakening from his hate induced coma for all opposition groups with the realization that moderate opposition groups need to be respected for TURKEY to be able to coexist with its EU counterparts. Thus, I believe the next big step for President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is to evolve with the times and modify his strongman authoritarian style to more of a two faced hypocrite style like his fellow EU counterparts. That is, like TURKEY’s EU counterparts, TURKEY can apply the EU principal that everybody has freedom of speech, freedom of choice and equal civil rights and liberties but then limit these freedoms and rights significantly by limiting the financial resources of minority opposition groups. In simple English, TURKEY can be more effective like its EU counterparts to silence minority opposition groups by sucking their blood with excessive taxes, laws and regulations such that their voices are lost in the woods while money talks and controls the hoods.

Therefore, the ALLIANCE forces recapture of eastern MOSUL in its entirety has not surprisingly triggered further ISIS psychopathic behaviours with ISIS attempts to extract vengeance that have been greeted with more death and destruction with 26 ISIS militants killed in separate locations in MOSUL and ISIS loosing drones at the hands of IRAQI’s military. In my opinion, it is a wise decision on the part of the IRAQI military to stabilize control of eastern MOSUL before launching another major military offensive for western MOSUL, as it seems that all remaining ISIS militants in eastern MOSUL are slowly coming out to launch surprise attacks while the IRAQI military is still in positions to fight back. In regards to ISIS foreign fighters refusing to fight in IRAQ on the basis of claims of sickness to claims of desires for martyr missions in Europe which show ISIS militants quickly losing faith on the front lines, it is becoming clear that ISIS has steadily lost both ground and appeal. As a friendly reminder, at its peak, ISIS drew thousands of recruits each month and controlled about a third of IRAQ’s territory whereby the foreign fighters who poured in from dozens of countries were amongst the most die-hard fighters on the continent. Therefore, ISIS has managed to disillusion its most die-hard fighters as their dreams for grandeur have evaporated whereby a bunch of psychotic nobodies looking to become somebodies have now become ISIS casualties losing their eye of the tiger background delusional and demented symphonies.

However, the allegations by Amnesty International that over thirteen thousand people were hanged at a SYRIAN prison in a secret crackdown on dissent by the current regime under the authority of President, Bashar al-Assad is psychologically disturbing to say the very least. Obviously, the Syrian Ministry of Justice disclaimed the accusations, calling them part of an effort to harm the SYRIAN government’s international reputation after recent victories over the Free Syrian Army (FSA). In my opinion, these mass executions would obviously be construed as war crimes for which President Bashar al-Assad could ultimately be held accountable such that it should be of no surprise that the Syrian Ministry of Justice has denied all allegations. However, only time will tell as to the validity of these allegations by Amnesty International who should be allowed to follow their due diligence process through the justice system as anything and everything is possible in this brutal bloody civil war as we have seen over the course of the last six plus years. Therefore, in my opinion, it is best to not jump the gun at this stage and give President, Bashar al-Assad the benefit of the doubt on the basis of innocent until proven guilty by a court of law. However, if President Bashar al-Assad is found guilty by a competent tribunal, he should be forced to do the appropriate time for these crimes, as from my point of view, if you’re responsible for the dirty deeds then it’s only fair that you get an asshole cherry bleed in prison cells with low security regardless of whether or not your are SYRIA’s lead.

In summary, I refer to “World Peace Lennon Ivan Style – Part 233” as the belief that MOSUL victory is critical to ISIS decimation but SYRIAN ceasefire between ASSAD and FSA also key while SYRIAN war crimes allegations by Amnesty should bring those responsible for the dirty deeds to their knees in prison cells with low security to get an asshole cherry bleed.

World Peace “Lennon Ivan Style” – Part 232

During the week ending on Sunday, February 5, 2017, TURKEY retreated from their aggressive siege of CIZRE, SILOPI, DIYARBAKIR and NUSAYBIN, predominantly KURDISH, which TURKEY had converted into a suburban war zone area as TURKEY was on the defense as they were subject to an internal military “Coup D’État” that failed as gunfire and explosions erupted in which 265 people died, 161 of them civilians, over one month ago. Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan continued cleaning house again this week after nearly three months since the failed “Coup D’État” for which officials continue to blame the disciples of TURKISH cleric Fethullah Gulen.  A wide scale purge led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his governing AKP finally continued to de-escalate slightly more this week as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan focused his attention on German Chancellor Angela Merkel in her first trip to TURKEY since the failed “Coup D’État” as she stressed the importance of freedom of opinion during a visit meant to help improve severed relations between the two NATO allies. Germany and Turkey have been at odds over TURKEY's crackdown on dissidents since the failed “Coup D’État” as well as TURKEY’s allegations, rejected by Germany, that Germany is harbouring KURDISH and other TURKISH dissidents. German Chancellor Angela Merkel clearly stated that in such a time of profound political upheaval, everything must be done to continue to protect the separation of powers and above all freedom of opinion and the diversity of society including the freedom of the press, as opposition is part of democracy. Turkey's allies, including Germany, fear President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is using the failed “Coup D’État” as a pretext to curtail dissent and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's opponents fear the planned constitutional changes will lead to an authoritarian state.

Unfortunately, an estimated 750,000 civilians trapped in western MOSUL by ISIS are facing beatings, executions, starvation and forced military conscription of their children as they wait desperately for ALLIANCE troops to free them. ISIS has become increasingly crazy, as IRAQI forces have advanced in MOSUL whereby if your beard is not perfect, ISIS beats you or if ISIS suspects you of sharing information with the IRAQI army, they execute you. Furthermore, executions and beatings have gone up sharply whereby ISIS militants are slitting residents’ throats or hanging them and leaving their bodies prominently displayed as a warning sign to everyone else to not to even think about leaving MOSUL without a fight. Therefore, the US-led ALLIANCE needs to be on heightened security alerts world wide as ISIS will look to find any and all possible retributory strikes, the most savage and barbarian possible, in an attempt to save face from a humiliating defeat of its MOSUL base.

RUSSIA that has invested much political time and energy in ending the fighting after bombing the opposition relentlessly for the past 15 months started to cut back its forces in SYRIA beginning with an aircraft carrier group as the ceasefire appeared to take hold. However, unfortunately for SYRIA, ISIS set ablaze the last wells at the HAYYAN GAS FIELDS in order to make the site useless for the government. The Hayyan Gas Fields were once the largest source of gas to millions of Syrians such that its loss will prove to be incredibly costly for the Syrian government as they are already dealing with a water crisis in the capital city of DAMASCUS. On a positive note, ISIS has been rapidly withdrawing from several sites in the western countryside of PALMYRA, as President Bashar al-Assad’s Syrian Arab Army managed to push further east in order to liberate other gas fields under ISIS’s control.

Finally, the wide scale purge led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his governing AKP continued to de-escalate further this week as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan focused his attention on German Chancellor Angela Merkel who visited TURKEY for the first time after the failed “Coup D’État” to clearly state that in such a time of profound political upheaval, everything must be done to continue to protect the separation of powers and above all freedom of opinion and the diversity of society including the freedom of the press, as opposition is part of democracy. In my opinion, German Chancellor Angela Merkel hit the nail on the head with this short and sweet but to the point statement that makes it clear to TURKEY that the GERMANS will not accept TURKEY’s bullshit propaganda crap any longer regarding the punishing of democratic opposition movements who exercise their rights to freedoms of speech and opinion. However, I believe that TURKEY will now modify its tactics to silence minority oppositions by switching from an overt physical and aggressive approach to a discreet political and psychological warfare approach like its European counterparts. That is, I believe TURKEY will now start to play the EU game of twisting, turning and manipulating all underlying facts and circumstances against the minority oppositions in order to exhaust and exasperate them into political submission. In my opinion, TURKEY has cleaned house of all the hardliners after its shake-up of the entire TURKISH society, covering government, military and education systems, such that it can now successfully control the remaining opposition movements by constraining their financial resources via scandals. That is, I believe that TURKEY will follow the EU example of insuring that any potential threats by minority opposition movements are quickly silenced by constraining those responsible with good old fashioned propaganda to tarnish their reputations such as sexual harassment allegations, extramarital affairs, hedonist nymphomaniac fetishes, organized crime affiliations, spousal or related family scandals and other career limiting scandals. Therefore, I believe that TURKEY has reached a turning point whereby it will conform to EU principals of freedom of speech and opinion but then control those freedoms by limiting the resources behind those with the biggest dissident mouths with good old-fashioned bullshit propaganda crap.

Therefore, the ALLIANCE forces recapture of eastern MOSUL in its entirety has not surprisingly triggered further ISIS psychopathic behaviours as residents are facing beatings, executions, starvation and forced military conscription of their children as they wait desperately for ALLIANCE troops to free them. In my opinion, this is ultimately collateral damage imposed by ISIS on its own people for its recent military loss of eastern MOSUL such that ALLIANCE troops cannot be held responsible for these innocent civilian casualties. However, ISIS is now essentially feeding themselves poison pills by taking out their frustrations on their own people as ISIS’s past military success was predicated on motivation of a unified body ready, willing and able to fight for a common cause while now ISIS is forcing people to fight who would otherwise choose to retreat rather than die.

However, ISIS continues to be a thorn in everybodies side in SYRIA as ISIS set ablaze the last wells at the HAYYAN GAS FIELDS in order to make the site useless for the government. In my opinion, ISIS along with all other extremist factions still operating in SYRIA such as the JABHAT FATEH AL-SHAM jihadist group, formerly known as NUSRA FRONT, and AHRAR AL-SHAM will continue to wage war regardless of the ceasefire deal brokered by TURKEY, RUSSIA and IRAN but to the extent they strike as they did at the HAYYAN GAS FIELDS, there must be a quick, rapid, direct, destructive and punishing strike on those responsible to stop the cancer from quickly spreading out of control. That being said, to the extent they continue to battle for territory amongst themselves, they should be let to go as the more they kill amongst their own, the less will be the need for post traumatic stress psychiatric bills.

In summary, I refer to “World Peace Lennon Ivan Style – Part 232” as the belief that MOSUL victory is critical to ISIS decimation but SYRIAN ceasefire between ASSAD and FSA also key while ISIS, JABHAT & AHRAR terrorist hits need to be reciprocated in kind while ignoring infighting kills to minimize post traumatic stress psychiatric bills.
